  Happy new year friends! I am finally rolling out some new music for 2015. Earlier this week, I put together this disco'ed up Adele rework- using the very grabbing groove from "Can You Hang  With The Gang". I think it turned out pretty neat. Trips me out that this is almost a year old already. I started working on this after I got Ableton going here, and was feeling pretty good because the song was brand new at the time and a flood of remixes hadn't poured out yet. Over time, I kept fiddling w/ this or that and it just got back burnered. I could never quite get the filtered back kicks in the TSOB sample to hit the way I though they should, but listening now with a more relaxed ear I really like the way it turned out.

I generally get irked when the beginning of a track has some good drums at the top but they're faded in! In this case as a remedy I messed with the amplitude of the loudest hits, making a little 4 bar intro with a snare at the jump. Skip To My Lou (drum intro)
