  Happy new year friends! I am finally rolling out some new music for 2015. Earlier this week, I put together this disco'ed up Adele rework- using the very grabbing groove from "Can You Hang  With The Gang". I think it turned out pretty neat. Here's a a fun summertime edit, placing Tinashe's "2 on" over the super classic Taana Gardner groove, with added drums and filter sweeps, etc.  Also to report, got 2 gigs in SF this weekend "Soul Clap" tonight at Mercer, and the Tape Haters release party tomorrow night, "No Fingerprints" at Showdown.  Hope to see some you out and about in the streetss. Hey all! I have my first record coming out on Bastard Boots this month, we are throwing a release party to celebrate tonight at the Layover. We'll be debuting the new 45, & Platurn and myself are playing nothing but little records all night!

This one is somewhat "rustic", part of the reason being that my copy of the Deacons joint is pretty well/over loved. I tried to use the EQ to get the mix just right, but in general I consider it a pretty lo-fi draft and should be for ipod use only :) The Deacons track used here is essentially an instrumental version of the Syl Johnson recording "Come On Sock It To Me", as recorded on Twilight.
